How annoying. Ive just spend the day trying to sort out the blog's css stylesheet, because i realised when i logged onto my blog today on my sister laptop (which had a different monitor resolution), that the blog was out of proportion. So i apologize to all who had to look at my horrible messy blog whilst i was non-the-wiser!

So i have spent 3 hours trying many different combinations of css, i even changed all my px to %, then realised this made it worse so i had to change everything back- and i had not even saved a backup file of the stylesheet to paste back in, so i spent another 30 minutes putting it back together >:(. Then after my mum told me to nip to the shop to buy some bread, i realised whilst walking to the shop that the problem is the main image (the cat) which is a background image. So all i needed to do was delete that and make a DIV header and put the image in there... *head to desk*

Now heres hoping its ruddy fixed! Please comment telling me if its not still in disaster mode :)

On another note, today my sister (Flick) told me she has her own blog all about make up and fashion, i was reading it this morning and its really good (Now no gloating Flick!). I have added her to my blogroll as Flick. She has also started making youtube videos, which i star in her lastest one :D but im not sure if she has uploaded it yet. Ill post it on the next blog for you all :D

6 comments Woke up this morning. Decided i had nothing to do, since i went shopping yesterday with Flick (ended up with the new Glam eyes Mascara by Rimmel- Which is rubbish don't buy it!).

So i decided to make a new layout, and ta-daaaa! I hope you like it, the cat is an image of Jessie (Flicks cat) who is always asleep. Honestly right this minute she is in the hallway...asleep! We have a private joke in our house that Jessie has Narclopsy. She just flops down anywhere and sleeps, its really scary, especially at night when all is quite and dark, then suddenly "Meow!" she has launched herself upon the bed, and is sleeping right next to you, which makes it difficult to turn over.

Has anyone joined Goodreads.com? It's a website where you can record what books you have read, currently reading or would like to read. You can also review books you have read and give them a score of 5. It has a huge selection of books on its database that you can search and find reviews, and recomendations from other users.
I am absolutely addicted to it, and have found a fair few books i would like to read. So if you enjoy reading i suggest goodreads :)

I hate having no cash :( When me and Flick went shopping yesterday, i had £200 in my account left over from student loans, and i want to keep it around £200 for a 'just in case' money runs out next year whilst at uni. My sister has a job at River Island, so she has tonnes of money stashed away, she is buying dresses from ASOS.COM whilst i can only afford a measly mascara.
There are no jobs available in Chesterfield, and i supose that a shop would not want to employ a student who will be returning to Nottingham in 3 months. So im stuck with being poor, and having so spare cash to splurge :'(

Yes im back, im so sorry i havent been online for donkeys years, i no its a really bad excuse which most bloggers use all the time, but its the truth- i have basically been way to busy for words to describe in one sentence so ill just sorta glabble on (as i do :D) about whats happened since my last post.

Ok so i left off fuming about that guy in my old flat. Yes you have seen it right old flat. Basically i have left my student flat because of said boy making my life a living hell. In December i was at home for 2 weeks, because i was quite ill with ashma, i was going back to uni on the train to go to lectures but i spent my free time back with my parents and sister in Chesterfield. So when i get back to the flat when i was feeling much better, there was an atmosphere in the flat, especially with me and him, he did apologise from what he said (Last post), so i thought everything was hunky dory... little did i know that he was releasing a hate campaign against me. I later found out that he was bitching about me online on facebook, which he must of known i could see if i had the same freinds as he does. He ended up getting everyone posting horrible things about me to others who i was really good friends with, so i was feeling all alone and again hated myself for being who i was. So at xmas i decided to move out :) I dont deserve this, i havent done anything wrong to him, yeah im a bit naive and sometimes quite, but isnt everyone who hasnt lived in a huge city such as Nottingham?!

So me and my mum went down to student accomodation service's and just explained everything, then the next day i was shown 4 other student accomodation i could move into, in which i chose an amazing victorian house converted into flats :D

Its much cheaper than my old one from £105 to £65, so i have alot of money to spare, the people here are amazing! So freindly and homely, we have sofas, private car park, wireless internet and everyone is so much more social. So yeah im a happy and much more confident little student :)

Ive also handed in tones of assignments- 7 to be precise, in which i have got 2 back and i gained 58% and 56% for my law and government results, i am a bit disapointed because i forgot to cite in the text, which would have bumped up my marks alot, but its still a pass and only my first piece of work :)

Today was eventfull too! Someone last night thought it would be fun to leave the shower on (oh yeah its shared bathrooms) for an hour, which blew the fuse, we could smell something burning and basically they have burned out something that makes the electrics work... so i woke up this morning thinking 'God its cold!' so i turn the heating up and nothing happens, so i try the TV and nothing happens...so i go into the bathroom and the lights wont work... then it hits me- electrics have gone and i have a lecture in 1 hour and my hair is horrible and i need a shower! So i ended up going to my lecture looking like crap, oh the joys of uni!

But i am definetly enjoying uni at my new flat, and everything feels like its falling into place, espeicaly with my sister coming to this uni next year its going to be an amazing year i just no it!

0 comments University life has just started for my sister Flick. She moved in on Thursday, with my teary eyed mother and my father trying to work out how to set up the Internet, the phone and the TV signal all at the same time, which was rather funny!
Her room looks so, hmm how can i say this... It looks so...Flick! That the only word to describe it, because her room no matter where she is, will always look the Flick way. Here is my dictionary definition:
Flick's room look- this is a style of utter organised chaos, only the owner, Flick knows where items are placed. To any normal person the room looks an absolute tip, but to people who know her or the person in question, the room is a organised filing system.

So today, we went over to her uni because it was freshers festival. It was so fun! There was rock climbing, those people who walk on stilts dressed as characters from fairy tales, a huge marquee that housed 3000+ students and family with stalls where the students got some information from. Oh and a BBQ, with yummy burgers!
Also Flick needed to get some card, which basically lets her be a full student! So were queuing up for at least half an hour with 10-15 people in front of us, and the bloody Que doesn't move AT ALL! So i go up to the front to see whats happening, and its utter chaos! All the cards were everywhere, folders with students names were at other ends of the table, rather than the students just saying their name and getting their card, they had to be ticked off a list, that took 10 minutes to locate! Anyway to end this story short they lost Flicks card, then after me complaining (as i do when i ended up queuing for 1 hour and 30 Min's!!!) to the guy about the system they have not working and it being ridiculous, they found the card!

Phew that's my rant over! Think happy thoughts Nichola!

OK and some more bad news I'm afraid :( My guinea- pig was very very old, and its sister died at least 4 months ago. So yesterday my dad was at the house and checked on the guinea pig (Millie), she was sat in a corner, she couldn't move to get water or food, so my dad had to feed her for a while so she wasn't dehydrated or hungry. The next day mum and dad took Millie to the vets. They said that her heart wasn't beating very fast and basically has hours to live :'( So we ended up having to let her go by putting her down :''( So i was extremely sad that day.

But on a lighter note, I'M GETTING THE WHOLE GRANT FOR UNI!!! (Well hopefully anyway, as my dad isn't working anymore due to retirement, so he wont be getting a whole chunk of money as he use to!) Even though my dad will be earning lots of money through a turntable business :) super happiness time 10!!!

0 comments EDIT: I have updated my layout, i made this Rihanna layouts about a month ago, forgot about it then found it yesterday :) Do you like muchly?

Those are the words my dad has used soo many times today to describe my sister and how unorganised she is. She is going to uni on Thursday, yet she seems to be saying "Oh, ill get it tomorrow" on almost anything she need. For example going shopping today with her, she needed kitchen knifes, we go into M & S, and she thinks there expensive, so says "oh ill get them tomorrow when i have more time" i was just about to make use of one of those knifes when she said that!

Also she still hasn't even packed anything, at all! Me and my mother had to tell her that she needs to sort out her clothes, so now my room looks like a bombs hit it (Our house is being redecorated, have no water, so we live in an apartment for a while until its done), theres shopping bags littered all over the floor, boxes with toiletries handing out of the sides, clothes flung over my bed, or what use to resemble a bed. Oh and that only took her 30 minutes to do, so god knows what the apartment will resemble tomorrow!

I need some freaking sanity pills ASAP!!! Or at least a big bar of choccie :)



Anyway, as i said in yesterdays post i will upload those piccies!

This is the little cutie pie, that my dad shoved in the shopping trolley, Isn't he cute?!

And this is all my uni stuff :D Please ignore the messy bedroom, as i said before its my sisters fault! Urm OK lets see what i have... That blue thing on the left is my bathroom rug, just behind it is the sheep piggy bank :D, above that it my new blanket, because i get very cold lol, my cheese grater is the next item, shortly followed by the cheapest mugs available in chesterfield! But it looks ok, and that's all i care about! And my bin you probably can't see is pink! My mum bought me that picture frame, and were getting the photo developed for it tomorrow, it will be me, flick, mother and father :) and lastly is the chopping board.

Also another crappy thing happened today! I cut all of my right hand this morning whilst washing up after brekkie, I blame my mum, all because she bought some cheap mugs. Basically i was washing this one cup, and holding onto the handle whilst washing it, it snapped off. Slashed my thumb, and shades of what ever the crappy mug was made of pricked my hand. Blood was all over my thumb, i screamed curse words, mother came in asked whats wrong and saw my hand, and offered no sympathy! Then flick laughed at me. Nice lol!
Its not that bad now, just a throbbing thumb!

Oh what an eventful day, I'm sat down now with a cuppa tea, watching the secret millionaire= bliss!
