Stop-Go- Stop...

Guess who went running!! Though i cannot believe how unfit i am- i was out of breath within 5 mins of running. So i decided to run for one song (i had my ipod on) then walk for another and alternate between the two for each new song. It took me 30 mins to run/walk 1.5 miles.
Though i have only been once this week because i injured my foot- apparently new shoes are not good for running in to catch a tram two days before i started the training for the 3 miles i shall be running in 3 weeks. I am going running tomorrow though- my foot seems to be behaving today and is healing pretty well.

Look how pretty my running route is! There is even an outside gym that i ran past- but there were a few chavs hanging round there, and i don't want to get stabbed any time soon, so i ran on and i might see if its free tomorrow :)
Oh and my sister has sent me one of her Workout DVD's so that when i can't be bothered to go out in the rain running- i can stay in the warmth of my house and do a workout to keep my fitness levels up!

Run forest RUN!

Firstly i would like to apologise for the lack of posting, yes there is no excuse for the desterment of this blog for the past month but the ammount of work/meetings for univeristy work i have gone through this week is beyond crazy.
So this is a fresh start and im defo going to post at least twice in a week, i promise, and i will be including more photos into my posts because if im getting bored just reading articles/books without pictures for uni god knows how boring my posts are.
So i have NME radio blasting through my speakers, and a cuppa tea with some oreo's = One happy Nichola typing her new blog post!
I was home for the weekend and decided to do my bit for charity and do a 3 mile run in 4 weeks time. Yes you have read correctly- 4 weeks, bearing in mind that i have not ran a mile (never mind 3) in at least a year. So im gonig running as much as i can this week- though i forgot to bring back my trainers to run in on the way back to Nottingham, so i had to buy some crappy £5 fall-apart-in-the-rain trainers from ASDA. Though i admit they do look like they will last a very long time and they are comfy/warm- good for this weather!
Ive decided to go running every
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and
Saturday. So if i do that up untill 4 weeks on Sunday i should be good to run those 3 miles! Hopefully...
But i havent ran by myself outside, so im going to be rather self-concious of running round a park (that i havent been in at all, so im going to get lost- its HUGE)so i might have a jog round my area- just to make sure i know where im going!
So i shall keep you all posted on my running, in fact i shall post tomorrow :) (See im keeping my word of posting twice a week!!) and i shall bring my camera with me and take a few photos of where im running.
Questions:Do you feel self concious when you run outside?Wish me luck?! Im gonna need it!
